Videofeedback

Video feedback is a process, that begins when a video camera points at its own playback video monitor. The loop delay from the camera to the monitor creates an optical feedback that creates fractal structures and constantly changing patterns. Video feedback is an art form that was developed in the 1960s and is still used today by video artists.

The use of different cameras and monitors also achieves different effects, that differ in the way the feedback is generated. There are a variety of ways to combine video feedback with other visualizations. In particular, musicians and artists can be included in the feedback projections live on stage.
